  3.     This section of the Newsletter we will talk about what is new and what
  4.   is old. There has been allot of programing going on since our last
  5.   newsletter, and an old friend has come back to the family.

  7.       Randy Hunt is back on line with the Seldom Idol BBS. For those of you
  8.   who don't know Randy, he is TriBBS #2. Mark and Randy have worked
  9.   together in the past writting the RMDOOR program. Randy has also been
  10.   busy writing his own programs that include the TriBBS Time Bank
  11.   (TriBank), The TriBBS Master File Maker (TriMast) Send Note, and
  12.   ChangePage to name a few. Randy had to leave us a while back due to a
  13.   death in the family, but we are very glad to see him back. You can reach

  18.     The past couple months have been very busy months for Programers.
  19.   It seems that TriBBS is really catching on. I've noticed many doors now
  20.   include direct support for TriBBS, and other are planing on it.
  21.     I've decided to give a list of some of the third party programs
  22.   that have been release during April and May. If I miss your program,
  23.   please leave me a note in TriBBS Newsletter (on TTN) and I will make sure
  24.   that it is included in the next Newsletter.

  26.       ALIAS15.XXX            Alias Lister creates a bulletin of all
  27.                      the Aliases on you TriBBS 4.x BBS
  28.                      along with their City and State.
  29.       ALISYS.XXX             ALISYS is a cool little TriBBS 4.x
  30.                      utility that lists all of the Aliases
  31.                      and their real names on your board.
  32.                      This does NOT create a bulletin for
  33.                      the board, as it is meant for Sysop
  34.                      purposes only.
  35.       ARCLST13.XXX           Version 1.3 of Arclist Door Program.
  36.                      Fixes some bugs with the first
  37.                      Release. A File Flagging door that
  38.                      uses TriBBS or PCBoard style File
  39.                      list. A New Concept in BBS Online User
  40.                      Interfaces! Too Many Features to
  41.                      Mention. (Replacement for TbFrdrs)

  43.       BBSUSAGE.XXX           BBS Usage v1.0 ANSI and ASCII screens
  44.                      for TriBBS v4.0 and up to give your
  45.                      users information about the BBS as
  46.                      well as specific information about
  47.                      themselves. This archive also contains
  48.                      UPLOAD.BAT, a simple batch file to
  49.                      recomment uploaded ZIP and ARJ files.
  50.       BSTURS15.XXX           Best Users is a cool little utility
  51.                      for TriBBS v 4.x BBS sysops. Best
  52.                      Users runs through your USERS.DAT file
  53.                      and calculates the Best Users by
  54.                      taking into account number of Messages
  55.                      Posted, K in Uploads and K in
  56.                      Downloads and then list the top 10.
  57.                      This program works best in your
  58.                      nightly batch program since it has to
  59.                      run through each record in your
  60.                      USERS.DAT.
  61.       DIRLST10.XXX           CUSTOM FILE AREA SCREEN GENERATOR V1.0
  62.                      This is the "ULTIMATE" File Screen
  63.                      maker of your File Directories for
  64.                      TriBBS's "Change File Area Screens."
  65.                      Features are: 15 different color
  66.                      selections (File area numbers can be
  67.                      one color while the Descriptions can
  68.                      be another). Three columns per Screen

  85.                      configurable for married couples who
  86.                      each have their own account on your

  106.                      then you probably need this program.
  107.                      What is does is removes the annoying
  108.                      FILESLST.EXE from the
  109.                      Files.lst...TriBBS users ONLY!!!

  111.       GIFRES22.XXX           GIFRES version 2.2 NOw includes

  119.       IDX2TRI.XXX            IDX2TRI is a simple manipulator of
  120.                      test for converting the ))_index.txt
  121.                      files on the SIMTEL20 CD-ROM to
  122.                      FILES.LST for use with TriBBS. It was
  123.                      written in TurboPascal 5.5 and is
  124.                      FreeWare.
  125.       JEST104.XXX            JestBBS 1.04 - Great utility for
  126.                      TriBBS or any BBS for that matter!
  127.                      Similar to Joke-A-Day, but a whole lot
  128.                      better! This program randomly selects
  129.                      a joke out of a list, and writes it to
  130.                      both ascii and ansi files! There's
  131.                      even room left for those @-commands.

  134.                      generator to show most recent callers.

  173.                      This is a TriBBS utility that runs in
  174.                      the nightly even batch file to send a
  175.                      friendly reminder to the user that
  176.                      their subscription is about to expire.
  177.                      Can be configured to start at any tow
  178.                      digit day, (exam. 30 or 15) days prior
  179.                      to their expiration date. Will send
  180.                      the user a note each day with a
  181.                      countdown of days left, and their
  182.                      actual date of subscription expiration
  183.                      date. Easy to install, and is
  184.                      multinode ready. This version corrects
  185.                      a bug in the date calculation that

  234.                      TriBBS. Lets your callers use a QWK

  237.                      enter mail offline. This new version
  238.                      is faster at putting together a QWK
  239.                      packet and supports nonstandard IRQs.
  240.       TOPDOR14.XXX           A TriBBS bulletin generator for Top
  241.                      Doors. Ranks by number of times used,
